important message: no one was hurt, things are “TF” inside, there is insurance. this is not a hiccup, more like a hurdle, and a daunting hurdle, but NOT a cliff face or game-ender.
March 28th, 2009 at 12:52 amis this photo taken from the back of the building or the front? not having spent much time there, I can’t tell… so the damage went around to the front as well, on the 2nd & 3rd floors? but the roof was more or less okay…? yikes…
March 28th, 2009 at 3:42 amthis is the back of the building, on the right side of the house. the roof got a hole punched in it to get at the fire but i don’t think it sustained much damage from the fire. i think the fire mostly climbed up the back stairway, leaving the way back rooms fucked, but the front pretty much ok, with apparently not crazy structural damage (if any). water damage from putting out the fire is throughout the building, which has horsehair plaster walls, all of which need to get completely ripped out.
