I’ve read excerpts from both “The Physics of Star Trek” and “The Biology of Star Trek” (different authors!), but I’ve never even HEARD of “Religions of Star Trek”. Is it as amazing as I’d imagine? Perhaps a better question is, is it canon?

ultimately the book is kind of interesting but not worth seeking out. i’m intrigued by the idea of looking at the rules governing a massive fantastical universe as they evolve over time (or not), but that’s not entirely the agenda with the book– it’s more like an intro to religious studies via star trek. or as the blurb states, “set your phasers to Philosophize!”.
